Bale spent ten minutes talking with leukemia patient Zach Guillot about the little’s ones favorite thing in the world: Batman
Zach Guillot was diagnosed with leukemia when he was in Pre-K. Years later through the tough battle with the disease he grew to love and admire his favorite super hero: Batman.
After hearing about the love this boy had for the bat, Christian Bale attempted to arrange a meeting with him. However it was unsuccessful, but instead of giving up entirely the actor reached out and called Zach.
The two had a ten minute conversation that was recorded by his mom and posted to YouTube. In it you see a giddy Zach telling Bale about how his brother is convinced that Zach really is The Dark Knight. Bale said during the uplifting conversation:
“The whole point of the movie is anybody can be Batman. Anybody can be as strong as that and help people and put good out into the world.”
Christian Bale, despite the nasty side of his reputation, has previously met with another leukemia patient. He flew out 4 year-old Jayden Barber last year to meet him, and just this past July paid a surprise visit to the medical center that was caring for the victims of the Aurora Theater Shooting.
Keep Calm and BAMF on Bale, you’re doing some awesome stuff.
What do you think about Christian Bale? Do you think there will ever be a change in his reputation?
