Ex-Gay Religious Group Releases Blooper Video

Exodus International is a Christian group that helps men and women through gay conversion therapy.

As an introduction to the new year, they’ve released a ridiculous blooper reel from their weekly video series.

According to the group’s page:

“Exodus is the leading global outreach to churches, individuals and families offering a biblical message about same-sex attraction.

With over 35 years of ministry experience, Exodus is committed to encouraging, educating and equipping the Body of Christ to address the issue of homosexuality, gay and lesbian people and families with grace and truth.”

However the over 4 minute video clip of Exodus President Alan Chambers apparently are less rigorous that the site seems to make them appear. The reel shows the president and ex-gay Randy Thomas having a great deal of fun in their behind the scenes video.

[vimeo 55965360 w=400 h=300]

At one point Thomas even remarks that his flannel shirt is “too blouse-y”.

Chambers is currently married to a woman and has children. He speaks in a weekly video on strategies for those who are “struggling” with same-sex attraction.

The video series expound many ideas from celibacy to finding an understanding opposite sex partner.

What do you think of the blooper reel? Let us know in the comments below!

  1. Is it wrong that they seem….Gay-er than what would be considered Really Gay?

  2. Cam says:

Thank God they are human… no more-no less

  3. Alicia D says:

I’m not clear as to why this is news? what do i think of the blooper reel? I think it’s a blooper reel.. like anyone who makes a weekly video blog series would have.

  4. You ain’t foolin’ no one Alan honey. SOMEONE’S SUPERRRRRRRRR!!!!!

    1. you mean thuperrrrrrrrrrrrrr

      1. NP says:

A great insight, actually. Never would have thought of this perspective.
    Thanks for posting.

  6. This video was FAAABULOUS!! XD

  7. proteuseffects says:

Holy flamer Batman! Dude’s so far in the closet he is in Narnia

    1. Joe Renda says:

i don’t think narnia can even handle him at this point.

  8. Planet Noize says:

    loved it

  9. Josh Diaz says:

Exodus ex ex gay co-founder’s comments

  10. The Donger says:

Are you sure they are “Ex-gays”? They seem pretty flamboyant to me.

  11. Bryan says:

Ugh THEY ARE GAY! Why do you have to put fear in who you are from what religion says? Fuck it! Be who you are!

  12. Alex Summers says:

So I’m curious.. Is this just a couple of gay guys who started this organization as satire and for non-profit perks?

  13. I feel so bad for them :(

  14. The blooper reel was absolutely fabulous!

  15. Marissa says:

no way they are ex gays lol NO. WAY. With your sexuality you don’t just change how you are

  16. Joe Renda says:

The gag reel is hilarious. But it just makes me sad that they feel like they can change their sexual orientation with prayers.

  17. Joseph says:

has anyone even considered that, oh I dont know, they are nervous behind the camera. I dont do well behind the camera and it makes me a bit nervous but it doesnt make me gay. Frankly, people are trying to find something in this video thats not there, so they naturally make it up. It just bloopers, i cant believe this is actually an news here. : P

  18. Anthony says:

I’ve seen gay people, but never this gay. No offence, but they are the more feminine than my female friends. And they think they are now straight or something? Paris Hilton is more masculine than them. These people are just sad and hilarious at the same time, keep it up :)

  19. Alicia D says:

how funny is it that people who are so “open minded” just talk about how these guys “act gay” but these guys have realized and embraced that speaking a certain way or dressing a certain way doesnt make one gay. Having sex with a person of the same sex makes one gay. They support a culture that allows people to be the people God made them to be, and that doesnt exclude big personalities or fabulous flannel (still crackin up over that stuff) I’m not gay or a dude but I kinda wanna hang out with these guys, looks like they have great sense of humor! i do not, however want to hang out with the people below who made all the gay cracks. Open your minds folks!

    1. Jayden M says:

I don’t know exactly what to say to you. I agree that it’s silly these seemingly open-minded people talk about the stereotypically gay mannerisms of these two men, but at the same time I don’t believe that these ex-gay men are being truthful. Being gay is not a choice. “Having sex with a person of the same sex” does not make one gay, it may be an expression of one’s preferences but it is not the thing that “causes” gayness. The cause of gayness is birth and genetics, no more no less. Perhaps they would be wonderful people to hang out with and I would hold no objections to doing just that but watch where your words play out. You seem to have the right spirit at heart, but are confused on your facts. Regardless of who you are or what your preferences, have a nice day, and life and try to stay true to your open ideals.

      1. Alicia D says:

I was not speaking in terms of sexual actions being causal of sexuality but definitive. perhaps I should have used the term “define one as” in place of the word “make” Wearing certain things, speaking or behaving in a certain manner does not define a man as man gay. No more so than playing fantasy football makes him an NFL hall of famer. Too many men are tortured because they behave a certain way and the world tell them that makes them gay. I cant speak to causes of anyone’s sexuality.
Oh, the depth of the riches of the wisdom and knowledge of God!

        How unsearchable his judgments,

and his paths beyond tracing out!

Who has known the mind of the Lord?

Or who has been his counselor?

Who has ever given to God,

        that God should repay him?

For from Him and through Him and to Him are all things.

To Him be the glory forever! Amen.
