The three ‘Gallon Smash’ prankers are being charged with disorderly conduct after the video went viral on the internet.
‘Gallon Smashing‘: The act of purposefully tripping while holding a gallon of liquid and spilling it everywhere. The trend took off when three teens decided to pull the prank in several grocery stores in Virginia.
The perpetrators, 2 brothers and a cousin, were caught after a month when investigators were tipped off by the viral Youtube video created by the dynamic trio. Through the co-operation of the stores involved the idiotic triplets were located and charged with seven counts of disorderly conduct and destruction of property each.
This isn’t the first (nor will it be the last, sadly) time that ‘Gallon Smashing’ has gotten people into hot water with the authorities. At least 9 other people have been arrested, 4 of them in the state of New Jersey alone, and the other 5 in Montana.
Police departments across the US are cracking down on the insipid prank, since the craze has launched many imitators since it’s launch in February. It may be wise to think it over before participating in this prank.
