A Google Maps has finally become available as an alternative to frustrated Apple Maps users.
The maps application for the iPhone will provide turn-by turn navigation with the option for vocal push notifications as the user drives.
It also boasts a new interface that is clean and easy to navigate when searching for a business. By swiping, a businesses contact card appears with location reviews and contact information. The app is also capable of searching for locations more quickly with the aid of the popular search engine.
Real time traffic information and transit information is also available on the application. If a user enters their Google account information the app will sync with the desktop version of the software.
Like Apple Maps there is a 3D map that the users can access to do fly overs akin to Google Earth. Traveler’s can also use Google’s Street View feature to assist in guiding them to their destinations if they are unfamiliar with the area they are in.
The application is currently available in the Apple Store and is free to download.
