Israel And Gaza Attacks Escalating [Graphic Images]

Since yesterday, the attacks shot from and at Israel and Gaza have gotten worse. Hamas has sworn vengeance for the assassination of their military chief, and Israel has sworn to destroy Hamas’ combat capabilities. Both are trying to make good on their promises.

The cycle continues unabated. Cue retaliatory strike for retaliatory assault. It all circles around. Most of those who started this, if they hadn’t died in battle, would’ve died of old age by this point. And we’re just talking about the modern day.

Israel agreed to the UN’s drawing of two states. The Arab Higher Committee rejected it. So Israel invades to take the whole damn thing to build a buffer from countries that are upset with them. Palestine’s naturally pissed, as are the surrounding Arab countries. They try to mess with Israel, cut off their water supplies. So Israel goes to war for it to keep their citizens alive, which is understandable, killing many of their neighboring Arabs in the process, which upsets those countries, which is also understandable. All of this is an oversimplification by a magnitude of infinity.

Which leads to intifada. Which leads to peace accords. Peace accords ruined by terrorist attacks on both sides and settlements that dick with everyone’s economic survival. Rinse, repeat. And so it goes.

The cycle continues unabated. Rockets, recriminations, respite, repeat.

Hundreds of rockets pour into Israel, their Iron Dome catching some but not all. Civilians die. Israel fires back. Civilians die.

There are no righteous belligerents. Once in an incredibly great while, there’re black and white answers. In the vast majority of those times, they involve body counts.

The only goal either side has is to test how much death their opponents can take. I’m done arguing about who’s right.

You can couch it in patriotism, defense, survival or divine reasoning. I don’t care. This:

…or this:

…or this:

…doesn’t make you fucking righteous. Neither of you.

And so it goes.
