Today, employees of major fast food chains including McDonald’s, Wendy’s, Burger King and KFC have walked out in numerous cities across the country.
Due to the large number of Americans who lost their jobs after the 2009 Recession, many workers have stated they have picked up the slack of three workers, but are only receiving pay for one.
Some of you may remember the fast food walkout from a few months back, and according to one McDonald’s employee from Chicago, it did achieve ‘small victories.’
“I’m not really concerned about losing my job … if I don’t do anything, I am in a lose-lose situation. I can still get fired at any time,” said Robert Wilson, McDonald’s’ employee in Chicago.
Do you think this walkout will be more effective than the one a few months ago?
