Power Rangers Goes DARK?!

Actors James Van Der Beek and Katee Sackhoff lent their talent to producer/actor Adi Shankar (Dredd, The Grey, Lone Survivor, and fan film The Punisher: Dirty Laundry) for his gritty, violent rework of the Power Rangers franchise. Rest assured, it’s awesome.

50 Shades of Grey. 50 Shades of Grey. 50 Shades of Grey. You’ve probably heard something about the movie by this point. It hit theaters on February 13th and is still running strong, taking in $237.7 million globally on opening weekend (although that number includes early screenings Wednesday night all the way through Sunday). Anna Moleva Heating Up BioShock Infinite!

It’s time to put on your spectacles and study up on some Nerd Pornology! Today, we’ve got a cosplayer as a dead ringer for BioShock Infinite’s female lead, Game Of Thrones showing off their killer sets, and flash memory that can be revived with blasts of insane heat.

Cosplayers, by virtue of their hobby, like to play as their favorite video game characters. But for one Anna Moleva of Moscow, it’s not play anymore. Moleva, after posting photos of her dressed as Elizabeth from BioShock Infinite, is now a working model for Irrational Games.

Here’s a picture of Anna’s Elizabeth cosplay outfit:

And here’s a photo of the character Elizabeth in game footage:

Pretty close, right? Apparently Irrational Games thought so too, so they hired her. On their blog they said:

We were so amazed by her dedication and her resemblance to Elizabeth that we decided to ask her if she’d like to be involved in helping bring Elizabeth to life in our box, our key art and our upcoming television ad.

BioShock Infinite is set for a February 23rd, 2013 release, along with Anna/Elizabeth’s generous bosom.

We’ve also have a full gallery featuring all of the cosplay that Anna Moleva has done here.

Next up — we’ve got Game of Thrones and their first look at season three:

Oh, Arya. I can’t wait to see you stab someone in the face. And, clearly, they’re easing up on Tyrion’s injury, as in the novels his face was more extensively damaged.

And finally, flash memory is going to be getting a much longer shelf life thanks to a Taiwanese engineering company. Macronix has discovered that flash memory chips can have their lives extended by blasts of heat. At the moment, hitting it up with extreme heat isn’t practical, but Macronix is planning to make it so. Soon, we’ll have flash memory that, as memory cells age, will be blasted with 1,400 degrees of heat.

That’s somewhat intense.
