Power Rangers Goes DARK?!

Actors James Van Der Beek and Katee Sackhoff lent their talent to producer/actor Adi Shankar (Dredd, The Grey, Lone Survivor, and fan film The Punisher: Dirty Laundry) for his gritty, violent rework of the Power Rangers franchise. Rest assured, it’s awesome.

Electro In Spider-Man And Skyrim DLC!

It’s time for to look through the Pornodex. It’s Nerd Porn. Let’s go with some quick hits: Japan’s making an adorable robot for astronauts, we’ve got new Skyrim DLC, and Electro’s been confirmed for the new Spider-Man movie!

Japan’s Adorable Space Robot

Tokyo University researchers are building a robot for their astronauts. A tiny humanoid robot will talk to, provide company, and maintain communications with a Japanese astronaut preparing for a six-month stint at the ISS.

It’s happening:

Just wait until we start cloning people and sending them to space.

The robot is being prepped to recognize the astronaut’s face and to speak to him in Japanese. It’s only going to be a little over a foot tall (that’s 34 centimeters to the rest of the entire world, why are we not on metric), and will also take photos to automatically beam down back to Earth.

Skyrim’s Dragonborn DLC Is Out Today

Might be time to check it out. Dragonborn promises to be the DLC that previous Dawnguard and Hearthfire were not — a legitimate expansion to the already-enormous game.

Taking you to the island of Solstheim, the DLC comes chock full of new cities and quests, with a tonal difference from Skyrim (the region) and its Winterfellian goodness: there’s a lot more magic to be had.

It’s available on PS3, XBOX 360 and PC now.

Electro Will Be Spider-Man’s Next Villain

And the actor playing Electro? None other than Jamie Foxx, who appears set for a return to form with Django Unchained coming out this Christmas.

He’s now donning the mask of the infamous Spider-Man villain, and had this to say on the role:

Electro is a great character. I met with the director, Mark Webb, I met with Andrew Garfield, and we talked… I think Electro will be an exciting character to play because he’s a… genius electrician-type person, and he gets the short end of the stick from the whole world, and the next thing you know he turns it on.

Question: Are you going to be getting down on the Skyrim DLC?
