So, we discovered a new type of Slow Loris. Thing is, this one’s got one heck of a bite, so you may want to slow your roll before buying one as a pet. Also, don’t buy them as pets.
Slow Lorises (Lorii?I don’t know) are a kind of primate that are related to the lemurs of Madagascar. They are omnivores, eating small animals, fruit and other vegation.

Anyway, the new one they found actually has quite a toxic bite. When it feels predators are near, it licks a gland on its arm, and when the saliva reacts with the secretion, it forms a harmful substance that will give its little chompers a bit more… uh… bite? Yeah, we’ll just go with that, I’m under a deadline.
This Kayan loris is found out in Borneo, and slow lorises around the world are lowering in number because of the pet trade surrounding it. So, y’know, don’t buy a slow loris. More likely than not it will have been illegally acquired.
