Adam Milstein is a businessman and philanthropist who has been called one of the “next generation of Jewish Leaders.” He’s a venture entrepreneur, real estate investor, and community activist. The Adam and Gila Milstein Family Foundation builds partnerships with non-Jewish as well as Jewish organizations to promote pro-Israel activism. In this blog post we will explore how he became such a successful businessman.
Early Life and Business Success
Adam Milstein was born in Haifa, Israel. He received his Bachelor of Science degree from the Technion, Israel’s Institute of Technology, and completed his graduate studies at the School of Business Administration at USC. After completing his MBA Adam went into the world of commercial real estate before founding his own venture, Hager Pacific Properties. Adam is today a managing partner of Hager Pacific Properties which has become one of Southern California’s most prominent commercial real estate companies.
In 2000, Adam co-founded with his wife Gila the Adam and Gila Milstein Family Foundation (“MFF”), where he currently serves as President, to strengthen relations between Israel and America including within the Jewish community.
MFF uses innovative philanthropic philosophy that is based on three unique principles: “Active Philanthropy,” “Strategic Force-Multiplication” and “Philanthropic Synergy.”
Venture Philanthropy: time and resources used to ensure the impact of the organizations MFF supports and the success of existing and new projects MFF invests in.
Strategic Force-Multiplication: MFF encourages the creation of partnerships between grantees to combat bigotry and hatred in a proactive and strategic way that engages the American people to take action.
Philanthropic Synergy: MFF facilitates and maintain collaborations between organizations we support with similar missions to amplify the effect of their joint efforts to make the most impact.
In addition, MFF provides financial support as well as education regarding how pro-Israel Americans can influence public policy concerning American and Israeli relations through activism brought about by grassroots organizations. Adam also serves on various boards such as StandWithUs Board, and PragerU Board of Advisors and he’s the co-founder of the Israeli American Council (IAC) where he currently serves as a Board Member and Chairman Emeritus
