Desir knows how challenging life can be. He was born to a Haitian-American household yet never really knew his father, who tragically passed away at the age of one. He loved to play basketball and quickly became a star in the world of sports. He attended John Jay College and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice. By this time, he already had a son and knew the importance of family. Therefore, he declined overseas playing opportunities to be a presence in his son’s life.
