ICON Park Features New Bacon Burger From Shake Shack in May

In honor of National Burger Day, May 28, the Shake Shack location in ICON Park in Orlando is proud to offer a new culinary delight.

Visit ICON Park on National Burger Day and wrap your mouth around Shake Shack’s new Bourbon Bacon Cheddar Burger, a white cheddar cheeseburger featuring Angus beef topped with bourbon bacon jam made with Maker’s Mark bourbon. You also get crispy shallots plus ShackSauce, served on a toasted potato bun.

Or you could enjoy the Bourbon Bacon Cheddar Chicken Sandwich: a crispy chicken breast topped with white cheddar and Maker’s Mark bourbon bacon jam. Throw in some pickles and serve it on a toasted potato bun and you’ve got yourself a tasty sandwich ready to enjoy any time during your ICON Park visit.

Both items are affordably priced: The burger starts at $8.49 and the chicken sandwich starts at $8.09.

Shake Shack recipe creators spent more than six years perfecting the recipe for the jam.

The bourbon bacon jam is made from high-quality ingredients and has a smoky taste with hints of vanilla, applewood, and caramel. It’s a perfect blend of savory and sweet with a bit of heat. The Maker’s Mark bourbon used in the sauce has been aged at least six years, and the bacon has been smoked for six hours.

“We love crafting fun, delicious menu items in an elevated way, inspired by our fine-dining roots and always with an emphasis on premium ingredients. The star of our new summer menu is a bourbon bacon jam,” says Mark Rosati, Shake Shack’s culinary director.

Rosati said the taste profile and bold flavors of Maker’s Mark make it extra appealing to park guests, whether they’re dining in, sitting on the patio, taking their food with them as they explore the park, or having it delivered locally.

Besides exciting bourbon-flavored offerings at Shake Shack, there’s plenty more excitement awaiting visitors to one of Orlando’s landmark locations this spring and summer.

The 20-acre, open-air, gate-free entertainment destination features delectable food, exciting rides, and tons of fun for all ages.

Visitors can enjoy more than 40 restaurants of all types and culinary styles — perfect options for lunch, dinner, mid-afternoon snacks, or late-night dining adventures.

ICON Park provides easy access to bars, boutiques, and a variety of other attractions, with The Wheel as the central hub.

A favorite attraction for guests is Madame Tussauds Orlando, where you can see wax versions of your best-loved entertainers, world leaders, and other figures of interest. Newer additions include Taylor Swift and the Justice League. Visitors can make wax models of their hands to take home as a souvenir.

Guests also love everything about the Sea Life Orlando Aquarium, which offers more than 5,000 species of aquatic creatures from around the world. Marvel at everything from jellyfish to seahorses. The aquarium includes a fantastic ocean tunnel you can walk through and see amazing undersea populations above, under, and beside you.

The Museum of Illusions offers more than 50 fascinating and brain-bending displays to look at and puzzle over. It’s called “edutainment,” since you’ll learn new things as you have fun exploring.

Arcade City is a great way to round out a fun day. The family-friendly gaming area includes video games, virtual reality experiences, and opportunities to win prizes. There’s a Mirror Maze, a 7D Motion Theater, and more. Arcade City is considered one of the top arcades in the region.
